Review… It was yet another eventful and colourful week as Potterhouse School marked its annual Sports Day on 5th June. Quite a number of activities were lined for the day. One of the most captivating activities was the Sand Cup-cake race by the Pear Class. These are children aged between 3-4years. They were required to run and crawl under a table then jump over a vehicle tyre, run to a bucket full of sand and scoop a cupful out of it, run back and jump over the tyre again, create a sand cake on top of the table before crawling under it and dash to the finish line. One of the Pears was so touched by the opponent that he decided to run across to the opponents’ territory and help them in creating their cake. Apart from this, the parents also took part in some activities and they even managed to beat the teachers in a game of soccer by a solitary goal. The lady teachers saved the day for the school by winning in the tug-of-war. At the end of the event, all the winners were feted, and Tsavo House were the overall winners. Exams… The end of term exams began on Monday 8th, and they will run for the rest of the week, after which the teachers will be busy preparing reports and also preparing the students for the graduation ceremony which is scheduled to take place at the school on June 26th. Quote of the Week… The road to success is not straight. There’s a curve called Failure, a loop called confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red light called Enemies, caution light called Family. |
